Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
Crowdtells (“we”, “us”) is a free news service that reads prediction markets and the press
together. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We keep data collection
to the minimum needed to run the site.
What we collect
-
Account info — if you sign in (Google or email), we store your email and,
for Google, your display name and avatar URL, to attribute your comments. We never see your
Google password.
-
Your contributions — comments, likes, and claim votes you post, with their
timestamps.
-
Saved stories & followed topics — when you are signed in, these sync to
your account so they follow you across devices. Signed out, they stay only in your browser.
-
Theme — your light/dark choice is stored only in your browser
(localStorage) and never leaves your device.
We do not sell your data, and we do not run advertising trackers.
Service providers
We rely on a small set of providers to operate:
-
Supabase — authentication and the database storing accounts and comments.
- Google — optional sign-in (Google OAuth).
- GitHub Pages — static site hosting.
-
Polymarket, Kalshi, Google News, Groq — public market data, news headlines,
and AI-generated briefings. These power the content; they do not receive your personal data.
Your choices & rights
- You can edit or delete any comment you’ve posted.
-
You can export your data or
permanently delete your account
from the account menu (or by contacting us). Deletion removes your profile, comments, likes,
votes, saved stories, and topic interests, and unsubscribes your email — it cannot be
undone.
- You can clear local preferences anytime by clearing your browser storage.
